Small wrist bone fracture that may be occult on early X‑ray; needs close follow‑up.

Snuffbox tenderness; pain with thumb/wrist motion; often after fall.

Thumb‑spica cast/splint; repeat imaging or MRI/CT; protect with brace post‑cast.
